
Kim Ji-hoon Wins Top Acting Award at Golden Cinematography Awards for 'My Dearest'
Actor Kim Ji-hoon has been honored with the Top Acting Award in the Drama category at the 45th Golden Cinematography Awards. The prestigious ceremony took place on July 2nd at the CG Art Hall in the Construction Center, Gangnam, Seoul.
Kim Ji-hoon received the award for his role in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'My Dearest' ('Gui-gung'). The drama, which concluded in June, is a fantasy romantic comedy centered around a shaman, Yeo-ri, who rejects her destiny, and an Imugi named Kang-cheol trapped in her first love, Yun-gap's body. Together, they confront an eight-legged ghost harboring a grudge against the royal family, leading to a chaotic entanglement of bodies and souls.
In the series, Kim Ji-hoon portrayed King Lee-jeong, a versatile monarch who dreams of a prosperous nation. He skillfully navigated the character's transformations, from a devoted husband and father to the embodiment of the eight-legged ghost, showcasing a wide range of acting prowess that spanned across genres.
