
Park Na-rae Tears Up Over Grandparents' Portrait Gifted by Jeon Hyun-moo on 'Home Alone'
Comedian Park Na-rae was moved to tears upon receiving a special gift from her fellow broadcaster, Jeon Hyun-moo.
The latest episode of MBC's variety show 'Home Alone' (also known as 'I Live Alone'), aired on the 3rd, featured Park Na-rae, along with Jeon Hyun-moo and Kian84, as they organized the home of her late grandparents.
After completing the task of sorting through the belongings, Jeon Hyun-moo prepared to present a gift to Park Na-rae. Initially flustered by a sudden rain shower, he carefully shielded the gift with an umbrella before handing it over.
As the rain subsided and the gift was unveiled, Park Na-rae was overcome with emotion. The present was a portrait of her beloved grandparents, lovingly drawn by Jeon Hyun-moo, who revealed he had stayed up all night to complete it, pouring his heart into the artwork.
"You drew this the best out of all your drawings," a tearful Park Na-rae expressed. Jeon Hyun-moo, visibly moved himself, shared, "I also miss the old days..." He elaborated on the painting's meaning, explaining the concept of world travel for her grandfather and recalling memories of her grandmother's chili pepper farming.
In a later interview, Jeon Hyun-moo reflected on his artistic endeavor, stating, "Although I may not be a skilled painter, I am an artist who can touch people's hearts." He added, "I took out all the paints at home. If I had more time, I would have painted it on a larger canvas with even more care," expressing a hint of regret for not having more time.
