Volleyball legend Kim Yeon-koung delivered some candid feedback on the MBC variety show 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung.'

The episode aired on the 19th featured a post-match discussion between the 'Fil Seung Wonders' team, who had lost to a professional team, and Kim Yeon-koung herself.

Kim Yeon-koung began by expressing her concern over the players' tears after the game, stating, "It should have been a match where you learned a lot. It shouldn't end with just tears. I was worried."

She identified the setters' weak offensive performance during actual games as a key factor in their defeat, leading the setters to admit their confidence had waned.

However, Kim Yeon-koung sharply countered, "That's just a vague excuse. It's not a constructive conversation. Nervousness, jitters, and confidence can be numerous excuses. You haven't felt these emotions for the first time. Is this your first match without confidence? Ultimately, it's a lack of preparation."

She further emphasized the need for proactive training, adding, "You need to figure out how to overcome situations without confidence. Didn't you think about this during training? This is your responsibility. Let's try to train with these thoughts in mind."

'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung' is a reality program where legendary volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung takes on the role of director for the first time, airing every Thursday at 9 PM KST on MBC.

Viewers commented, "As expected from Kim Yeon-koung, even her harsh words are realistic," "I hope the players grow a lot," and "Looking forward to next week's broadcast."
