In a dramatic turn of events on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of the Refrigerator,' chef Park Eun-young has emerged victorious over her mentor, chef Yeo Kyung-rae, in a highly anticipated culinary battle.

The episode aired on the 19th featured actor Kwon Yul's refrigerator as the central theme, pitting the two chefs against each other. The rivalry between mentor and protégé had already generated significant buzz among viewers prior to the broadcast.

Before the cooking commenced, Chef Park playfully addressed her mentor, saying, "I'll consider you 'father' while cooking," eliciting laughter. However, the competition quickly intensified as they tackled the challenge, "The taste of my father's soybean paste in my mouth!" as requested by Kwon Yul.

Chef Park presented her dishes, including a meticulously prepared 'Menbosha' with her secret recipe, alongside a meat and baby napa cabbage creation. She completed her culinary creations swiftly. Kwon Yul praised her dish, stating, "I can taste the essence of my father's soybean paste. It's the kind of flavor that makes you want a bowl of rice with it." He added, "While it would be perfect with rice, it's excellent on its own. It's incredibly delicious, with a savory punch hitting the palate."

Next, Chef Yeo presented his Apple Paws and a dish featuring beef short ribs, shrimp, and mushrooms. Upon tasting, Kwon Yul exclaimed in admiration, "I now understand why you're called the 'Godfather of Chinese Cuisine.' It has hints of 'Gganpunggi' (spicy stir-fried chicken), and the level of perfection is astounding for a 15-minute dish." He particularly commented on the Apple Ssamjang Paws, noting, "It feels like it should and shouldn't work together, but surprisingly, they complement each other well."

Ultimately, the victory went to Chef Park Eun-young. Kwon Yul explained his choice: "While both dishes were excellent, I chose the one that more strongly evoked the taste of my father's soybean paste." The unexpected outcome stemmed from a crucial oversight by Chef Yeo, who forgot to include the key ingredient – Kwon Yul's father's soybean paste – during his cooking process. A visibly flustered Chef Yeo remarked, "In my 50 years of cooking, this is the first time I've felt this flustered."

Chef Park expressed her delight, calling the win "truly special."

Netizens reacted with amusement and support, commenting, "Chef Park Eun-young is amazing! Her mentor's flustered reaction was hilarious," and "Who knew he'd forget the soybean paste? This clumsy side makes him even more charming!" Many also expressed a desire to try the dishes, saying, "The food that hit Kwon Yul's taste buds perfectly, I want to taste it too!"
