Lee Jang-woo Reveals Sweet First Encounter Story with Bride-to-Be Cho Hye-won: 'She Shined on Set!'

Actor Lee Jang-woo shared the behind-the-scenes story of his first meeting with his fiancée, actress Cho Hye-won, ahead of their November wedding.

Appearing on the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy' on the 19th, Lee Jang-woo sat down with fellow actors Yoon Si-yoon and broadcaster Jung Joon-ha for a candid chat.

Recalling their initial encounter, Lee Jang-woo confessed, "Cho Hye-won was cast as a minor role in a drama I was starring in, and she just shone. I thought, 'Who could be the boyfriend of a woman like that?' I felt I had to make a move."

He continued, "I wanted to ask for her contact information, but she left right after filming. I ended up searching for her social media accounts to reach out first. I thanked her for appearing in the drama and offered to treat her to a meal. Then, I immediately asked if she had a boyfriend."

Lee Jang-woo revealed the subsequent development: "She replied two days later, saying she didn't have a boyfriend, so I sent her my phone number right away."

When Jung Joon-ha asked if he had proposed, Lee Jang-woo sighed dramatically and humorously pleaded, "Help me!" He also disclosed that the wedding guests for the ceremony are already set: "Kian84 will be the emcee, and my cousin, singer Wheesung, will perform the celebratory song."

Meanwhile, Lee Jang-woo is set to marry the 8-year younger actress Cho Hye-won on November 23rd. The couple met through the KBS 2TV drama 'My Only One' and publicly announced their relationship in 2023.
