Singer Kim Heung-gook has declared his intention to step away from political controversies and return to his core profession of singing and entertainment.

Through his agency Daebak Entertainment on the 20th, Kim stated, "From now on, I will stand by the people solely through songs and entertainment," announcing his comeback plans as an entertainer. He had previously been embroiled in public discussion due to his political activities, including attending rallies against the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, openly expressing his support for conservative right-wing ideologies.

However, Kim emphasized, "I will put political talk aside now and laugh and sing with the people on stage. Politics was not my path. I am happiest when I bring laughter to people and sing together. That is the real Kim Heung-gook."

He is currently preparing a new song and also plans to launch a personal YouTube channel. The new song is expected to capture the exciting energy of his hit song 'Horangnabi'.

Kim's side stated, "Singer Kim Heung-gook's true self was overshadowed by his political leanings, but through this decision, we aim to return to the center of music and entertainment."
