Moon Ga-young to Host Mnet's Global Band Survival Show 'STEAL HEART CLUB'

Actress Moon Ga-young is set to lead a new generation of aspiring musicians as the MC for Mnet's upcoming global band-making survival program, 'STEAL HEART CLUB'.

During the press conference held on October 20th at Eliena Hotel in Seoul, Moon Ga-young expressed her enthusiasm for the show, stating, "I've loved band music since I was young. I didn't hesitate when offered the role because I really wanted to enjoy the live performances together." She shared her gratitude for the opportunity and her role as a bridge between the audience and the performers.

'STEAL HEART CLUB' is a competitive survival project where individual contestants specializing in guitar, drums, bass, vocals, and keyboards will form the ultimate headliner band. This marks Mnet's expansion into the band music genre, following its successful ventures into hip-hop and dance survival shows.

The program features a diverse lineup of 50 participants from various backgrounds, regardless of nationality, style, or career experience. From school band alumni to indie musicians, former idol group members, and global influencers, contestants will showcase their unique talents and personalities to create new musical combinations.

Although Moon Ga-young has experience attending award ceremonies and hosting events, this will be her first time as an MC for a music survival show. She remarked, "I realized I made the right choice becoming an MC as I experienced so many memorable performances during filming." She added, "It's exciting to hear familiar songs reimagined. I feel like I'm learning a lot just by absorbing the passion of the bands, and I believe viewers will feel that energy too."

The judging panel includes CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa, Peppertones' Lee Jang-won, singer-songwriter Sunwoo Jung-a, and singer Ha Sung-woon, who will offer invaluable advice and musical philosophies.

'STEAL HEART CLUB', targeting a global fandom, will premiere on October 21st at 10 PM KST.
