Singer Roy Kim shared an amusing anecdote about his time in the Marine Corps during his appearance on the YouTube channel 'Psick Univ'.

In the 'Psick Show' episode released on the 19th, Roy Kim revealed that joining the Marines was a long-held bucket list item.

He explained, "I had promised with three close friends that we would enlist in the Marines together in our early twenties. However, due to my appearance on 'Superstar K,' I couldn't keep that promise. My friends went to the military in their early twenties, and I postponed it until my late twenties. That's how I naturally ended up in the Marines."

He further recounted an experience from his later enlistment. Roy Kim laughed as he recalled, "I experienced some ridiculous things for the first time. It's not that there's a problem with the Marine Corps itself." He continued, "When I enlisted at a later age, a sergeant was talking to his girlfriend on the phone and said, 'Roy Kim is in front of me. Kim Sang-woo, sing something.' While some might regret it, I sang 'Bom Bom Bom.' It was a proud moment."

Meanwhile, Roy Kim is set to release his new song, 'Can't Express It Differently,' on the 27th.

Netizens found Roy Kim's Marine Corps story quite entertaining. Comments included, "So honest and funny," "As expected from Roy Kim," and "It must have been a shame not to keep your promise with friends. But singing 'Bom Bom Bom' in the military is legendary!"
