Park Ji-yeon, the wife of comedian Lee Soo-geun, has shared her thoughts with acquaintances regarding her birthday amidst her recovery process.

On the 20th, Park Ji-yeon posted on her social media, "Many thoughts have passed through my mind since my surgery, and during my recovery period, I've been practicing not giving or receiving birthday gifts. I thought if I don't receive gifts starting from my birthday, everyone else might feel pressured to give them, so I'm substituting with my own congratulatory greetings first."

She further explained, "The closer we are, the less likely we are to fuss over each other, so if someone does make an effort, it means we're still a bit awkward." This statement suggests a desire to ease the burden on her close friends and family.

Park Ji-yeon added, "If my condition isn't good, even making seaweed soup can be difficult. If I can't celebrate one year, I promise to make up for it the next year, and the year after that. I'll take responsibility for the seaweed soup. I will do my best to be thoughtful in my daily life."

Meanwhile, Park Ji-yeon suffered kidney damage due to complications from pre-eclampsia during her second pregnancy in 2011. Although she received a kidney transplant from her father, it was not stable, leading her to undergo dialysis for over 10 years. In August of this year, she received a second kidney transplant from her older brother and is currently in recovery.

Netizens have sent messages of support, commenting things like, "Ms. Park Ji-yeon, your health recovery is the top priority!", "It's truly heartwarming that you think of others first even in difficult circumstances," and "We support you and wish you only good things and good health moving forward."
