Lee Yi-kyung's Rumor Accuser Claims to Be German, Admits Asking for Money But Denies Receiving It
Amidst the clarification that the privacy rumors surrounding actor Lee Yi-kyung are baseless, the netizen believed to be the original accuser has posted again, extending the controversy.
A netizen, identifying themselves as the account that initially posted about Lee Yi-kyung, uploaded an additional statement on an online community on the 20th. They claimed, "I did ask once, 'Can you give me money?' At the time, I had personal financial issues and found it difficult to ask my parents for help, so I asked him." However, they asserted, "I never actually received any money, nor did I ask for it again afterwards."
The netizen further explained, "The post yesterday wasn't about money, but because (Lee Yi-kyung) made such strong remarks, I wanted to prevent other women from experiencing the same thing." They added, "My Korean is not fluent. I've been learning Korean through self-study for 8 years, and I am German, not a scammer."
Previously, the accuser had posted on a portal blog under the title 'Exposing Lee Yi-kyung's True Self,' sharing alleged messenger capture screens containing sexual conversations, claiming they were exchanges with Lee Yi-kyung. Although the post was quickly deleted, parts of it spread rapidly through online communities and social media, escalating the controversy.
In response, Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, immediately issued an official statement declaring, "All content recently circulated on online communities and social media is false." The agency announced its intention to take legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors, vowing to pursue all measures based on the severity of the matter.
Korean netizens expressed shock, with comments like "It's shocking that the accuser is a foreigner." Some suspect the accuser may have intentionally sought attention. Others are urging caution, stating, "We shouldn't condemn the actor based solely on the claims of an unidentified individual."
