Shin Sun-hee Returns After 15 Years with New Song 'Someday' to Offer Comfort and Hope
Singer Shin Sun-hee is set to release a new album, marking her return to the music scene after a 15-year hiatus.
Her new song, 'Someday,' delivers a message of sincere comfort to everyone going through difficult times. Shin Sun-hee personally penned the lyrics, adding a layer of authenticity. The song's lyrical soundscape was crafted by producer Kim, who also composed 'Rewind' (a theme song for the drama 'Moon Embracing the Sun').
Known for her hit song 'Beautiful Country,' often called the 'Second National Anthem,' Shin Sun-hee pioneered a unique crossover style blending traditional Korean music and classical vocals. Despite the unconventional approach at the time, 'Beautiful Country' topped the music charts and became a beloved song representing Korea. She is often referred to as the 'Godmother of Crossover' for her significant impact on the development of Korean music.
This new release, her first since the 3rd album 'Classy' 15 years ago, is expected to bring fresh energy to the music market. Following the album's release on the 21st, she is scheduled to perform the national anthem at the Korean Series baseball championship on the 25th, aiming to deliver a moving experience across generations.
Regarding the new song, Shin Sun-hee shared, "It's a song of quiet hope, possessing a different charm from my representative song 'Beautiful Country.' I hope it becomes a song that embraces the shoulders of many enduring difficult times, while also wishing for them to achieve their deepest desires."
Shin Sun-hee's new song 'Someday' will be released on various online music sites at 12 PM on the 21st.
Netizens have reacted with excitement, commenting, "Shin Sun-hee's new song is finally here!", "I've loved her since 'Beautiful Country,' looking forward to this one too," and "It seems like it will be a great comfort during these hard times."
