Son Yeon-jae Enjoys a Luxurious 'Staycation' Away from Parenting Duties, Thanks Husband

Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae has shared a glimpse of her luxurious 'staycation' experience, taking a much-needed break from her daily life.

On the 20th, a video titled 'VLOG Don't Find Me… Yeon-jae's Dreamlike Night Out' was uploaded to Son Yeon-jae's YouTube channel.

In the video, a visibly excited Son Yeon-jae exclaimed, "Everyone, I've finally come for a solo staycation today. I'm so thrilled." She added, "I don't think I've spent a night alone in a hotel for the past three years. I used to spend a lot of time in hotels for competitions and work, but this is my first time," before playfully thanking her husband, saying, "Thanks, honey!"

Upon entering her room, she remarked, "I shouldn't like this too much. I'll like it moderately." She was then touched by a handwritten note from the hotel, saying, "You've written me a letter to help me escape the busy rhythm of daily life and parenting for a while and enjoy a leisurely rest. So sweet," she expressed with joy.

Admiring the 'city view,' she shared, "I like nature views too, but personally, I love Gwanghwamun, so you can see the night view. There's also a shower, and I can bathe while looking at the night view," expressing her satisfaction.

Son Yeon-jae revealed her staycation bucket list: exploring Seochon, taking solo 'life four-cut' photos, and playing games all night. Heading out first to explore Seochon, she commented, "It's a miracle for me to be outside at this time in this weather," and visited a quaint accessory shop, saying, "I like cute and decorative things. I came to a store that feels like Paris."

She then indulged in some shopping, stating, "I'm going to start spending money seriously," followed by a visit to a cafe where she took her own photos at a photo booth.

Back at the hotel, Son Yeon-jae played games on her PlayStation and ordered lobster and chicken via room service for a feast. After gaming until the early hours, she went to sleep. Waking up, she said, "I had a great time. My eyes are puffy. I slept so well. Back to parenting now," concluding her staycation with, "It was a fun staycation."

Son Yeon-jae married a financial professional nine years her senior in September 2022 and they have a son.
