Internet personality BJ Gwajeubseyeon has won a partial victory in a defamation lawsuit filed against YouTuber Ppeokga.
The Seoul Central District Court, presiding judge Im Bok-gyu, ruled on the 21st that Ppeokga must pay Gwajeubseyeon 10 million KRW plus default interest.
Ppeokga had previously raised allegations on his YouTube channel that Gwajeubseyeon engaged in sexual relations for financial compensation and had gambled in Las Vegas.

During the legal proceedings, Gwajeubseyeon's legal team secured Ppeokga's identity through the U.S. federal court's discovery process. It was also reported that Ppeokga attempted to pressure Gwajeubseyeon's legal representatives with a warning email. Ppeokga's request to halt the lawsuit proceedings was dismissed by the court.
