Lee Yi-kyung Embroiled in Privacy Rumors; Accuser Claims 'Gathering Evidence,' Agency Vows Legal Action
Actor Lee Yi-kyung is currently embroiled in controversy following privacy rumors that have surfaced online.
An individual identified as 'A,' who claims to be the accuser, initially posted alleged chat captures and videos with Lee Yi-kyung on their blog and social media early on the 21st. However, these posts have since been deleted and are marked as "Suspended at the request of other users" or "Temporarily Measures taken under Article 44-2 of the Information and Communications Network Act."
Despite the deletions, an account believed to belong to 'A' issued a further statement saying, "There were many things I couldn't capture," and "I don't want to say there's no evidence," indicating they are currently in the process of collecting proof.
The individual also revealed their face and name, stating that the agency's previous assertion of "false information" was made due to "threatening responses" at the time, and asserted that their motive was not financial.
In response, Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, released an official statement asserting, "The matters recently spread on online communities and social media are false," and announced their intention to "prepare legal action," noting they had received similar threatening emails five months prior.
As conflicting claims emerge, public attention is focused on how this situation will unfold.
Following the agency's announcement of strong legal action, netizens commented, "If it's true, it's really disappointing," "It's too early to judge based on one-sided accusations," and "Rumors are just rumors, let's wait and see."
