
Jo Woo-jong Becomes First 'Announcer Chef' After Passing Western Cuisine Technician Exam
Former announcer Jo Woo-jong has officially obtained the qualification of a Western Cuisine Technician, earning him the unique title of the nation's first 'Announcer Chef'.
On the 21st, Jo Woo-jong shared his success on social media, posting a photo of his certificate along with other behind-the-scenes pictures from his preparation journey. He expressed his newfound respect for the culinary profession, stating, "After preparing, I deeply realized what a great and noble job cooking is. There were many moments I wanted to give up due to the difficulty, but small achievements like evenly sliced ingredients or a well-simmered broth gave me courage."
He extended his gratitude to all culinary professionals in the country, as well as his manager, stylist, production crew, and fellow announcers Jung Da-eun and Cho A-yoon for their support.
Jo Woo-jong had previously documented his 8-month preparation process for the exam on the SBS variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' often showcasing his practice sessions at home and delighting his wife and daughter with his homemade dishes.
