French broadcaster Robin and his wife, comedian Kim Seo-yeon, have shared the sad news of a miscarriage, drawing sympathy from many.

On the 27th, the YouTube channel 'RobuBu' uploaded a video titled "The Day We Went to Check Our Baby's Heartbeat. And, Goodbye."

In the video, Robin and Kim Seo-yeon visited the obstetrics and gynecology department to hear their baby's heartbeat. However, after an ultrasound examination, the doctor explained, "At this stage, the heartbeat should be visible, but the baby seems to have not developed well. The yolk sac has enlarged. Normally, the yolk sac shrinks, and the nutrition transfers to the baby for development. But it has swollen further, and at this timing, the baby's heartbeat should be clearly visible, but there is nothing apparent."

The doctor cautiously recommended surgery, stating, "If it's confirmed as a complete miscarriage, surgery is better. If the heartbeat isn't visible at this stage, it's generally considered difficult. The swollen yolk sac is not a good sign. It's possible we caught it too early, but the swollen yolk sac suggests a poorer outcome. We could re-check after some time, but the chances don't seem high. It might be an option to schedule surgery and check the condition again on the morning of the procedure."

Hearing this, Kim Seo-yeon worried, "Is there a problem with my body?" The doctor reassured her, "It's highly likely the issue is with the baby, not your body. The body's systems for pregnancy support seem to be functioning normally. The problem appears to be with the baby's developmental process, preventing it from growing. The positive aspect is that these systems working well now means a healthy baby is possible in the future."

The couple eventually broke down in tears upon hearing the heartbreaking news. Later that evening, with red-rimmed eyes, Kim Seo-yeon shared, "The nurse started crying before I did. She must have known from the ultrasound. It took a long time, and then I heard her sniffle."

Robin added, "When I saw the doctor's face, I knew something was wrong." Kim Seo-yeon continued, "It's apparently very common. Many people around us have gone through this. After a D&C procedure, the uterus becomes clean, which actually increases the chances of conception."

Kim Seo-yeon expressed a flicker of hope, asking, "Could a miracle happen?" Robin replied, "That would be wonderful," but added, "For now, we're going to take a break." Kim Seo-yeon concluded, "Thank you for all your congratulations. We'll share good news next time."

The next day, while on a walk, Kim Seo-yeon reflected, "It was at the cellular stage, so it's not unbearably difficult. It's hard, but I can endure it. Surgery will be a bit harder, but I don't think it will be a long struggle. A healthy mind is essential for a successful pregnancy next time." Robin agreed, "Resting, having the surgery, and getting healthier will ensure everything works out."

Kim Seo-yeon further explained, "The doctor said it's often due to chromosomal issues, not a problem with my body. Once the uterus is clean, it can establish a strong pregnancy. Many of my close friends who have children experienced this and conceived again quickly." With a brighter expression, she stated, "It's okay now."

She recalled, "When I first heard, I was so upset. I went in smiling. I was feeling nauseous like with morning sickness, but then it lessened. I asked if that was normal, and my body seemed to be trying to hold on, but I kept eating. The nausea was manageable in the mornings." Robin comforted her, "We can get through this. We can do it. Fighting!"

In the video's closing, the couple shared a message: "Hello, this is RobuBu. Today, we have some sad news to share. Thank you to everyone who congratulated and worried about us. We will have a final ultrasound tomorrow and proceed with the surgery. We've let go of much of our anticipation, though it's hard to say there's no hope left. We've searched countless times online, and the consensus is that it will be difficult, so we are steeling ourselves. Thank you again to all our subscribers who congratulated and cheered us on, and thank you for grieving with us! We will return as the cheerful RobuBu, so please continue to support us. Thank you always."

Netizens expressed their condolences and support, with comments like 'My heart aches for them,' 'Stay strong and please share good news again,' and 'I hope you take care of yourselves and return healthy.'
