Comedian Lee Yong-sik to Take on Stroller Marathon Challenge at 70

Comedian Lee Yong-sik is set to participate in a stroller marathon, making a special promise with his granddaughter despite being in his 70s.

On November 28, Lee Yong-sik's daughter, Lee Soo-min, shared on her social media, "On Saturday, November 1st, Grandpa Lee Yong-sik is challenging a marathon! He said he wanted to participate in a stroller marathon with his granddaughter, El, and I thought he was joking, but he was serious."

The accompanying photos show Lee Yong-sik smiling brightly as he pushes his granddaughter in a stroller. Wearing a hat backward and striking a bold pose, he exuded excitement. In contrast, his granddaughter sat looking a bit bewildered, eliciting smiles from viewers.

Lee Soo-min added, "I think this might be the first time a grandfather in his 70s has challenged a stroller marathon. We ask for your support and prayers for this Saturday's challenge between granddaughter and grandfather."

Previously, Lee Yong-sik garnered attention for starting a diet with the desire to spend more time with his granddaughter, successfully losing 19kg. He also appeared on KBS2's 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey's Ears,' humorously remarking, "When I looked in the mirror one morning, I saw my Adam's apple. It was the first time I realized I had one."

Meanwhile, Lee Soo-min, Lee Yong-sik's daughter, married trot singer Won Hyeok and welcomed their daughter in May. The couple is currently living with Lee Yong-sik and focusing on raising their child.
