ADOR Wins Legal Battle: "NewJeans Contract Valid, Preparing for Comeback"
ADOR has released a statement following their legal victory in the exclusive contract validity lawsuit against their artist, NewJeans.
On the 30th, ADOR announced, "Today, the court ruled that the exclusive contract between our agency and our artist NewJeans is still valid."
The court determined that ADOR had not breached its duties as a management agency and that attempts to break away from the contract by creating an appearance of a breakdown in trust were unacceptable.
ADOR stated that they had cautiously responded to the legal proceedings for nearly a year since the artist's claims of contract termination in November last year. Throughout this period, the court had repeatedly ruled that ADOR held its position as the management agency and that NewJeans must continue their entertainment activities with ADOR.
"We have completed preparations for activities, including the release of a full-length album, and are awaiting the right time," ADOR added. "We will do our utmost to return to our fans through discussions with the artists."
Korean netizens reacted with relief, commenting, "It's a relief the outcome is clear," "I hope NewJeans makes a comeback soon," and "It's fortunate this is resolved well, as fans must have gone through a lot of hardship."
