LUCY Unveils 'SUNG' Mini-Album, Exploring the Many Facets of Love

Band LUCY has released their 7th mini-album 'SUNG,' weaving the diverse faces of love into their music.

At 6 PM on the 30th, LUCY dropped the full tracklist and the music video for their title track ‘How About This Love’ across various music platforms, marking their comeback after approximately six months.

Unlike their previous album ‘WAJANGCHANG,’ which captured the refreshing essence of spring, this new release shifts to a lyrical and emotional mood, fitting for the colder weather.

The album 'SUNG' captures the undefinable aspects of love through LUCY's unique sensibility. It conveys the message that just as the same line can take on different shapes depending on how it's connected or knotted, love also possesses various textures based on the nature of the relationship.

Notably, member Cho Won-sang participated in the entire process of lyric writing, composition, and production, strengthening LUCY's musical identity. The album also expands their musical spectrum and narrative through new genre explorations, raising expectations for the deepened emotional depth of LUCY's signature style.

‘How About This Love,’ one of the double title tracks, depicts the story of individuals standing with different perspectives on the same line. The harmonious blend of soft band sounds, lyrical harmonies, and Choi Sang-yeop's clear vocals further expresses LUCY's distinct color. Acoustic guitar, strings, and ambient effects maximize immersion and overwhelming emotion, delicately portraying the protagonist's flutter of realizing love.

The accompanying music video captures the subtle emotional nuances between three individuals in an hideout, amplifying the song's atmosphere. Directed by 815 VIDEO, known for their collaborations with global K-pop artists like BLACKPINK, TWICE, and IU, the video translates the lyrical band sound into captivating storytelling.
