Yoon Tae-hwa Shines on 'The Birth of a Laborer Season 2' with All-Round Skills

Trot singer Yoon Tae-hwa showcased his multifaceted charm on KBS1's 'The Birth of a Laborer Season 2'.

The episode, aired on the 29th, featured the laborers' second day in Yemi 3-ri village, Jeongseon, Gangwon Province.

Yoon Tae-hwa joined as a new laborer alongside Shin Sung, filling in for Ahn Sung-hoon who had a prior commitment.

Despite it being his first appearance, Yoon Tae-hwa expressed his determination, stating, "I will work hard, thinking of the elders as my own mothers."

His fellow laborer, Son Heon-su, was taken aback by his presence, exclaiming, "It feels like I'm seeing a celebrity." Son Heon-su particularly praised Yoon Tae-hwa's singing talent, calling it "the voice I've dreamed of for a long time."

During the task of replacing moldy wallpaper, Yoon Tae-hwa displayed his resourcefulness. He secured the refrigerator doors with tape before moving it and even found flat stones to help tear down the stubborn wallpaper when tools were unavailable.

He shared his practical skills, saying, "I lived alone for a long time. My mother raised me alone, so I played the role of a father. I did things like hammering nails and fixing the sink by myself."

In a moment of lightheartedness, he got so engrossed in the repair work that he forgot he was wearing a mask, remarking, "It's strange, I'm out of breath and it's hard," drawing laughter from the crew.

He meticulously completed the repairs and enjoyed a sweet bowl of roasted rice powder drink offered by the elderly resident, not forgetting to send a heart gesture of affection.

At the second house, Yoon Tae-hwa proposed installing grab bars for an elder who had difficulty moving due to dementia, which had recently developed.

"My mother also had dementia after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. Safety bars are truly necessary," he explained, drawing from his personal experience to suggest this vital aid.
