S.E.S. Members Bada & Eugene Hint at Full Group Comeback While Waiting for Shoo; Fans Reignite Reunion Hopes
Members Bada and Eugene from the iconic first-generation K-pop girl group S.E.S. have opened up about the possibility of a full group comeback.
During an appearance on the Channel A entertainment show 'Best Friends' Documentary – A Meal for Four' aired on October 21st, Bada was asked about special plans for S.E.S. as their 30th debut anniversary approaches.
"There are no concrete plans right now," Bada stated. "We are waiting until Shoo feels comfortable. We're waiting for a time when everything flows naturally," she shared, expressing their consideration for member Shoo.
Eugene echoed these sentiments, saying, "Perhaps there will be a natural time for a reunion too."
Amidst this, attention has turned to recent updates from member Shoo (Yoo Soo-young). Shoo recently shared glimpses of her volunteer work at 'Kkotbat,' a workplace for people with disabilities, through her personal social media.
After distributing 100 ice creams and receiving messages from fans, Shoo reflected, "I was the one who went to volunteer, but the energy I received from those friends was even greater... Volunteering is ultimately a time to heal myself."
Notably, Shoo mentioned that those she volunteered with asked, "Unnie, please release another album!" and "Why don't you appear on TV these days?"
She confessed, "They played my songs and sang along. I felt deeply moved at that moment," indicating her emotional response to the fans' enduring support.
With Bada and Eugene's statement of 'waiting for Shoo,' and Shoo herself conveying a sense of anticipation for a new album to her fans for the first time, hopes for an S.E.S. full group activity are soaring once again.
Online communities are abuzz with reactions like, "Is the time finally coming... I want to hear S.E.S.'s full group songs," "Just hearing the word 'waiting' brings tears to my eyes... The 90s nostalgia is exploding," and "I hope the reunion happens as a natural progression, not just an 'event'."
The key factor for a reunion appears to hinge on Shoo's personal activities and emotional state. It remains to be seen if there will be room to plan group activities within the next two years leading up to their 30th anniversary. All eyes are on when specific schedules, such as fan meetings, albums, or concerts, might be announced.
The possibility of 90s top girl group S.E.S. gracing the stage again as a complete unit has captured significant attention with just these initial remarks.
Fans are flooding online forums with comments like, "Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for! I can't wait to hear S.E.S. together again," "Their reunion would be an emotional gift to all 90s kids," and "Let's hope it's a natural reunion, not just a one-off event."
