Seo Dong-ju Stops Fertility Treatments After Emergency Room Visit, Cites Physical Strain

Broadcaster and lawyer Seo Dong-ju has revealed that she has stopped her fertility treatments due to severe physical discomfort and even an emergency room visit.

In a recent YouTube video uploaded to her channel 'Seo Dong-ju's Tto.Do.Dong' titled 'Emergency Room Visit After All... Will a Baby Angel Come to Me Too?', Seo Dong-ju shared her journey.

She explained the reason for halting treatment, stating, "While receiving injections, my stomach became very bloated and I felt lethargic. I became tired and drowsy due to the swelling, which reduced my activity levels."

Seo Dong-ju continued, "Then, I had my period and experienced such severe menstrual cramps that I had to go to the emergency room." She added, "After getting an IV drip and painkillers at the hospital, I returned home. My husband and I decided to take a month off. It's rare to have a situation severe enough to require an ER visit."

She plans to approach having a child naturally, without excessive ambition, and within the limits of maintaining her health. Seo Dong-ju suspects her busy schedule might be a factor, mentioning, "I seem to be blessed with too much work, so I need to prioritize my health."

Reflecting on her decision to pursue childbirth at 42, she shared, "After establishing a stable life with someone I love, the thought of naturally having a child who resembles them and completing our family brought immense happiness." She noted that this desire naturally arose after marriage.

Seo Dong-ju concluded by asking for support, stating, "Even if the fertility treatments don't go well, I will overcome this difficult period with composure."
