Singer Im Jeong-hee has bravely shared her painful experience of a miscarriage shortly after her marriage for the first time.

In an upcoming episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Lovers of Joseon,' airing on November 3rd, Im Jeong-hee, who recently garnered attention for her 'natural pregnancy at 44' after marrying 6-years-younger ballet dancer Kim Hee-hyun, will open up about the miscarriage she endured early in her newlywed life.

In a preview clip, Im Jeong-hee recalled, "About two months after getting married, I found out I was pregnant." She continued, "I wasn't ready then, so it didn't feel real. I miscarried early on. Due to my performance schedule, I couldn't go to the hospital, so I performed on stage without having surgery."

She confessed, "I felt so unwell during the performance that I cried backstage. After it ended, my husband and I cried a lot together." Expressing the depth of her sorrow, she added, "I couldn't cancel the performance, so I poured those feelings into my songs." Her candid yet heart-wrenching confession brought tears to the eyes of the other cast members as well.

Im Jeong-hee, who debuted in 2005 with 'Music is My Life,' has released numerous hit songs like 'It Can't Be True' and 'Clockwork.' She has also received public affection through various musicals and variety shows. She married ballet dancer Kim Hee-hyun, who is six years her junior, in October 2023 and recently shared the news of her natural pregnancy at the age of 44, sparking widespread interest.

Meanwhile, 'Lovers of Joseon,' celebrating its 100th episode, is undergoing a revamp and is scheduled to return on December 22nd with more diverse stories of love. The full story of Im Jeong-hee's journey, encompassing both loss and the joy of new life, will be revealed on the November 3rd episode airing at 10 PM on TV CHOSUN.

Netizens are expressing deep sympathy for Im Jeong-hee's past ordeal. Comments include "She overcame such a difficult time, it's heartbreaking," "It's amazing how she channeled those emotions into her music," and "Wishing her only happiness from now on."
