Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas Call It Quits Due to Relationship Pace
Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have reportedly ended their nine-month relationship.
Page Six reported on the 30th (local time) that Ana de Armas decided to end the relationship because she felt uncomfortable with the rapid pace of their romance.
A source revealed, "Their relationship was moving very fast, and while Ana couldn't deny the chemistry, she started to feel a little uncomfortable with the speed."
Despite applying the brakes to their relationship, de Armas still has strong feelings for Cruise. "They have a connection. We'll see what happens, but for now, they've ended it. They want to remain friends, but she needed to take a step back," the insider added.
The two stars were first romantically linked in February. Reports at the time suggested that their relationship, which began with deep professional respect, quickly ignited into a romance, with Cruise being "completely mesmerized" by de Armas.
Previously, on the 15th, British media outlet The Sun reported that the couple had split after nine months, deciding to remain good friends. Their relationship had also been the subject of marriage rumors.
Cruise has been married three times before, to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes. De Armas was previously married and later dated Ben Affleck and the stepson of the President of Cuba.
Fans expressed disappointment, with comments like, "Cruise's relationships always move too fast," and "It's a shame they couldn't make it work." Others wished them well, stating, "Hope they can remain good friends."
