Davichi's Lee Hae-ri Admits She Initially Disliked Kang Min-kyung for Being Too Forward
Lee Hae-ri, a member of the popular K-pop duo Davichi, has revealed the reason behind her initial dislike for her groupmate Kang Min-kyung.
In a recent YouTube appearance on Epik High's channel for their content titled 'Who Would Win If Epik High and Davichi Fought?', the two Davichi members shared candid stories.
During the conversation, Epik High member Tablo asked the duo about the longest argument they've had. Lee Hae-ri responded, "We consider our frequent, loud discussions as 'opinion adjustments.' While others might see it differently, from our perspective, we don't think we've ever truly fought."
When asked about their first meeting, Lee Hae-ri confessed, "I found her a bit too forward and it was burdensome. She was very physically affectionate."
Kang Min-kyung elaborated, explaining that she was a huge fan of Lee Hae-ri from a young age. "I met Hae-ri unnie when I was in middle school, and we became a team in high school. I really liked her and approached her a lot, calling her 'unnie, unnie.' But she doesn't like people who are overly clingy or affectionate, so I think she disliked me at first."
Lee Hae-ri agreed, adding, "My personality isn't very open, and I was even more so back then."
Netizens reacted with amusement, with comments like "Hae-ri is so honest!" and "So Min-kyung was the clingy one back then?" Many expressed relief that the two eventually became close friends.
