AHOF Teases Dark Charm in MV for 'Pinocchio Hates Lies' from 'The Passage'
Boy group AHOF is returning with a deeper, rougher charm as they prepare to release their second mini-album.
AHOF, consisting of Steven, Seo Jung-woo, Cha Woong-gi, Zhang Shuai Bo, Park Han, JL, Park Ju-won, Zian, and Daisuke, unveiled the music video teaser for their title track 'Pinocchio Hates Lies' on the 31st at midnight via their official social media channels.
The 22-second teaser offers a glimpse into an intriguing storyline. The members of AHOF are shown with restrained expressions, seemingly facing anxiety and confusion in different spaces that feel otherworldly, like a fantasy realm.
The video intensifies the suspense by repeatedly showing scenes of endless falling. Steven, Park Han, and Daisuke are seen falling from the sky, while JL and Park Ju-won plunge into fractured spaces. These recurring images of falling stimulate curiosity about the hidden meanings within their journey.
The teaser concludes by showcasing the sky, accompanied by a lyric from the title track: 'Was I actually afraid?'. The combination of an unpredictable narrative and a lyrical melody leaves a strong impression.
'Pinocchio Hates Lies' is a band-driven song inspired by the classic fairy tale 'Pinocchio'. It expresses the desire to be honest solely with 'you', amidst fluctuating emotions, anxiety, and inner turmoil, through AHOF's unique emotional expression.
Their second mini-album, 'The Passage', chronicles AHOF's journey on the cusp of boyhood and adulthood. While their previous album 'WHO WE ARE' depicted the beginning of imperfect youth, 'The Passage' will showcase AHOF's hardened, rough charm as they navigate inner growth pains.
AHOF will officially return with their mini-album 'The Passage' on November 4th at 6 PM. They will also hold a fan showcase the same day at 8 PM to meet with their official fan club, FOHA.
Korean netizens are reacting enthusiastically, with comments like, 'Even just the teaser video gives off a 'concept master' vibe!', 'Can't wait for the full music video!', and 'Looking forward to AHOF's new transformation!' showing high anticipation for their comeback.
