Kim Jeong-hoon Returns to Small Screen After 6 Years with 'Couple Scandal 3'
Singer and actor Kim Jeong-hoon is set to meet viewers in a drama after a six-year hiatus following personal controversies.
Set to air on GTV and KSTAR at 10 PM on the 31st, 'Couple Scandal 3 - Pandora's Secret' will unfold the events surrounding the arrival of renowned psychotherapist Choi Woo-jin (played by Kim Jeong-hoon) as a new resident in an upscale townhouse.
The drama centers on the incidents that occur after Choi Woo-jin moves into the luxurious townhouse community. Various characters, including translator Lee Seon-yeong (Kang Se-jeong), ceramist Park Mi-na (Shin Joo-ah), and free-spirited Im Ha-young (Ryu Ye-ri), become intrigued by Woo-jin's arrival and gravitate towards him.
Notably, Seon-yeong offers Woo-jin assistance and arranges for the housekeeper Alisa to help him. Alisa is seen smiling meaningfully after exploring Woo-jin's home, hinting that she is already privy to the secrets of the townhouse residents and piquing viewers' curiosity about what she discovered.
Kim Jeong-hoon had been in a period of self-reflection following personal scandals and charges of refusing a sobriety test after a traffic accident in 2019. While continuing his activities in Japan, he now announces his return to the domestic entertainment scene through this drama.
Park Ji-hye, the scriptwriter, commented in place of Kim Jeong-hoon, who was absent from the press conference, stating, 'Kim Jeong-hoon had a strong desire to show a different side of himself, even though his activities have been quiet. We cast him with the judgment that he would be beneficial to the overall drama.'
'Couple Scandal 3 - Pandora's Secret,' featuring Kim Jeong-hoon, will be broadcast today (31st) at 10 PM on GTV and KSTAR.
Netizens have expressed anticipation for Kim Jeong-hoon's return, with comments like 'Looking forward to seeing a new side of him' and 'The drama's provocative plot is intriguing.' However, some have also voiced caution, referencing past controversies and hoping for a positive portrayal this time.
