Actor Jang Dong-joo caused concern among fans after posting a cryptic 'I'm sorry' message on social media and becoming unreachable. Fortunately, his whereabouts were confirmed approximately four hours later, with no serious incident reported.

On the morning of the 31st, Jang Dong-joo left a single-line post on his SNS: 'I'm sorry.' The lack of explanation led fans and netizens to express anxiety through comments like, 'What happened?', 'Are you okay?', and 'Please be alright...'. Actress Bang Eun-hee also publicly shared her worry, asking, 'Is something wrong?'.

His agency, Nexus E&M, attempted to contact him immediately but stated they were urgently trying to confirm the situation as calls were not connecting for a while.

Jang Dong-joo, born in 1994, debuted in the play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in 2012. He gained recognition through the drama 'School 2017' and has consistently appeared in various works such as 'Criminal Minds', 'Class of Lies', 'Honest Candidate', and 'Trigger'.

Notably, in 2021, he was praised as a 'righteous actor' for witnessing a drunk driving hit-and-run and personally chasing down the perpetrator. This background of good deeds amplified the worry following his social media apology.

However, about four hours later, news emerged that his location had been identified and the situation was not dire, bringing relief to fans. The exact reason for the apology and the period of no contact remain unclear.

Following the confirmation of his safety, fans expressed relief and support, commenting, 'I was so worried,' 'I don't know the reason, but if you're okay, that's enough,' and 'Let's not over-speculate and just watch out for him.'

Jang Dong-joo recently completed filming for the new SBS drama 'My Man is a Romantic Monster', set for release next year. Despite the momentary scare, fans are hopeful for his return to his usual bright self.

Netizens expressed a mix of relief and concern, with comments like 'Glad he's okay even if we don't know why he apologized,' 'His usual image makes me even more worried about what happened,' and 'Whatever the reason, please just show good sides going forward.'
