Actor Choi Moo-sung has opened up about why he left the historical drama 'The Princess' Man' before its conclusion.

Appearing as a guest on YouTuber Ha Ji-young's channel on the 29th, Choi Moo-sung shared candid stories about his acting career following a hike.

When asked by Ha Ji-young about any difficulties transitioning from theater to television dramas, Choi recalled his experience on the KBS drama 'The Princess' Man'.

He explained, "It was my first time working with media. Historical dramas require a specific tone, but I became too relaxed and delivered my lines too casually," adding, "I was scolded by the director and ended up dying in the 18th episode of what was supposed to be a 24-episode series."

Choi further expressed regret, stating, "My subordinates in the drama died with me. If it were now, I would have paid their appearance fees or treated them to drinks, but back then, it just fizzled out. I feel so sorry thinking about it now."

Choi Moo-sung first gained recognition in the 2010 film 'I Saw the Devil' and later rose to fame for his role as Park Bo-gum's father in the 2015 drama 'Reply 1988'.

Netizens reacted positively to Choi Moo-sung's honest confession, with comments like "His honesty makes him more charming," "It must have been difficult back then," and "We support you!" showing their encouragement for his acting passion.
