Seo Dong-ju Pauses Fertility Treatment After Emergency Room Visit

Lawyer and TV personality Seo Dong-ju has announced a temporary halt to her fertility treatments.

In a YouTube video uploaded on the 30th titled 'Ended up in the ER... Will a baby angel come to me?', Seo Dong-ju candidly shared the difficulties she faced during her treatment.

She described experiencing severe bloating and fatigue from injections, leading to constant sleepiness and reduced activity. The situation escalated when she experienced excruciating period pain that necessitated an emergency room visit, where she received an IV drip and painkillers before returning home.

"After discussing with my husband, we decided to take a month off. Apparently, such severe menstrual cramps are rare," she explained, emphasizing her focus on recovery. Seo Dong-ju added, "I plan to let go of my desires and entrust it to the natural order, making efforts within the limits of not harming my health."

She also reflected on her decision to have a child at 42, stating, "I thought it would be truly blissful to build a complete family with a child resembling my partner, living a stable life together. Before, I wondered if it was right to bring a child into this harsh world, but after getting married, that feeling naturally arose."

Seo Dong-ju also revealed in a separate YouTube appearance that she is currently undergoing egg retrieval, facing challenges due to severe ovarian insufficiency. She mentioned considering adoption seriously if IVF proves unsuccessful after trying for a year.
