Moon Ga-bi Shuts Down SNS Comments After Revealing Son with Jung Woo-sung

Model and entertainer Moon Ga-bi has closed off comments on her social media just a day after sharing photos of her son, fathered by top actor Jung Woo-sung.

On July 30th, Moon Ga-bi posted several photos on her personal Instagram, marking her first update in about 11 months. The photos showed Moon Ga-bi and her young son enjoying everyday life together. The mother and son were seen in matching outfits, spending leisure time in a green field, and holding hands while walking on a beach, showcasing a happy family moment.

Notably, her son appeared to have grown significantly, drawing attention as the images were shared without any mosaic or blur effects. Moon Ga-bi opted to partially cover her son's face or focus on their backs in the photos with him.

The sudden appearance of her son's photos instantly became a huge topic online, primarily because the child's biological father is none other than the renowned actor Jung Woo-sung. Moon Ga-bi had announced her childbirth in November of last year, and shortly after, the revelation of Jung Woo-sung as the father sent shockwaves through society.

At the time, Jung Woo-sung's agency, Artist Company, released an official statement confirming, "The child Moon Ga-bi posted on her social media is indeed Actor Jung Woo-sung's biological son." They added, "We are discussing the best approach for the child's upbringing and will fulfill our responsibilities to the end."

Following the child's reveal, Moon Ga-bi appealed for restraint from speculation and criticism, stating, "The child, conceived through a natural and healthy relationship, was a choice made by both parents." She emphasized, "This child is not a mistake, nor the result of a mistake. Protecting and taking responsibility for a precious life is a natural duty."

Jung Woo-sung also addressed the matter publicly during the Blue Dragon Film Awards that year, saying, "I sincerely apologize to everyone who sent love and support for causing concern and disappointment. I will take all criticism upon myself. As a father, I will fulfill my responsibilities to my son until the end."

However, the situation did not involve the two marrying and forming a traditional family unit to raise their child. Jung Woo-sung reportedly had a long-term girlfriend besides Moon Ga-bi. It was revealed that he recently completed a marriage registration with his girlfriend after the birth of his son, legally becoming husband and wife.

Given the complex family circumstances surrounding the birth of Jung Woo-sung's only biological child, Moon Ga-bi's flood of son's photos prompted a wide range of reactions, from congratulations and support to expressions of concern.
