Singer Mimi from the K-pop group OH MY GIRL opened up about the difficult times she faced early in her career on the TV show 'Homerun Man's Baekban Trip'.
In the episode aired on the 2nd, Mimi joined host Heo Young-man as they explored the culinary delights of Hoengseong, Gangwon Province.
Heo Young-man, noting Mimi's current popularity, asked if she had many individual schedules back when she first debuted.
Mimi confessed, "I was like a dog guarding the house." She further elaborated, "There was a time when all the members were shooting a commercial with a 'fairy' concept, but my tanned skin and tomboyish style didn't fit. I was the only one left in the waiting room while the others were filming."
She continued, "It was a cosmetic ad shoot. I tried my best to look innocent, practicing in front of the mirror, but it just didn't work out. I felt a great sense of emptiness then."
Heo Young-man offered words of encouragement, acknowledging her past struggles. Mimi responded with a message of resilience, stating, "But the one who endures wins. Life is about enduring."
