Actor Lee Chang-hoon shared surprising details about his past relationships and his first encounter with his wife, who is 17 years his junior, on the SBS variety show ‘My Little Old Boy’ (hereafter referred to as ‘Mi Woo Sae’).

During the broadcast, his co-star Kim Seung-soo visited Lee Chang-hoon’s home and inquired about the circumstances of his marriage, given the significant 17-year age difference.

Lee Chang-hoon confessed, “I never imagined I’d meet someone with such an age gap. I guess it was destiny.” He further revealed his past dating experiences, saying, “I thought that buying lots of gifts and spending a lot of money would lead to marriage. I even bought a car for a past girlfriend, but it didn’t end in marriage.”

He added, “The last relationship I failed in was when I was 39. As I turned 40, I started thinking, ‘How pathetic will I be when I'm 50?’”, humorously adding, “I’m not saying *you’re* pathetic,” directed at Kim Seung-soo, which drew laughter.

Regarding his first meeting with his wife, Lee Chang-hoon recalled, “It was by chance on Christmas Eve, introduced through a friend of Shim Hyung-tak.” He continued, “While slightly tipsy, I asked, ‘May I have your phone number?’ and she gave it to me, saying, ‘What’s the problem, he’s a senior?’”

He then revealed, “I didn’t know her age at the time. When I got her number, I was 41 and she was 24,” a statement that surprised Kim Seung-soo and everyone else present.

Lee Chang-hoon married his wife, 17 years his junior, in 2008 and they are raising one daughter together.

Netizens watching the show commented, 'Lee Chang-hoon's dating story is truly amazing,' 'It's cool how they overcame the 17-year age gap with love,' and 'The chemistry among the Mi Woo Sae members is great,' expressing empathy and amusement at his candid revelations.
