Jo Jung-suk Reveals How He Decided on Second Child: 'My Wife Suggested It, I Dropped Everything'
Actor Jo Jung-suk appeared as a special MC on the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy' (hereafter 'Mom') and showcased his impressive speaking skills.
MC Shin Dong-yup mentioned Jo Jung-suk's recent news of his second child, saying, "You said you didn't have plans for a second child, but heaven just gave you one." In response, Jo Jung-suk recalled, "While I was filming the movie 'Zombie Daughter' in Haenam, my wife (Gummy) called me. Out of the blue, she said, 'Honey, shall we try for a second child?' I immediately left the set."
Meanwhile, veteran 'lovebird' Choi Soo-jong also appeared on the show, drawing attention. When Choi Jin-hyuk asked, "You've been married for quite a while, yet you're still so close," Choi Soo-jong replied, "The first time I saw my wife at the broadcasting station, she looked like an angel." Jo Jung-suk also agreed, stating, "The part about looking like an angel seems to have a lot in common with me," forming a sense of camaraderie.
Furthermore, Park Kyung-lim asked Choi Soo-jong a question about his daughter's boyfriend, and Seo Jang-hoon posed a similar question to Jo Jung-suk. Both stars appeared to be seriously contemplating a scenario where they deeply love their daughter but dislike her boyfriend, sparking curiosity about future discussions.
Jo Jung-suk married singer Gummy in 2018 and welcomed their first daughter in 2020. They announced the news of their second pregnancy this past July, receiving widespread congratulations.
Netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting, 'Jo Jung-suk and Gummy finally have news of their second child! Congratulations!', 'The story of him dropping everything for filming to come back is so romantic!', and 'He's already booked as a daughter's dad, seems like similar worries to Choi Soo-jong.'
