Actress Shin So-yul reveals that baseball is more than just a sport to her; it's a facet of life and a moment of peace.

Growing up as a devoted LG Twins fan, often called an 'E-rin-i' (a portmanteau of 'LG' and 'child'), Shin So-yul's life was shaped by the cheers from the stadium. Under the stadium lights, she learned about hope, finding the unwavering support of fans, win or lose, more inspiring than any art form.

Her fandom extended into action. In 2014 and 2015, she became known as the 'conceptual first pitch' thrower for the LG Twins, impressing with her neat appearance and steady pitching form. Her social media frequently featured photos of her in LG uniforms, holding cheering sticks, and wearing the iconic 'galaxy' jacket, earning her a reputation as an 'LG item collector' who diligently collects new merchandise each season.

"The phrase 'Why bother with this ball game?' is a common saying among baseball fans. But I find hope in this 'ball game' through the determination to never give up and the unwavering passion until the very last pitch," Shin So-yul shared.

She often appeared on broadcast cameras while regularly attending games, eventually becoming a 'live-watching fairy.' However, before earning that title, she experienced a heartbreaking superstition: the team would lose whenever she attended in uniform. "People would gasp when I entered wearing my uniform. But the time I spent there, enduring those moments, has made me who I am today. That's the fate of a fan, isn't it?" she said, adding that she developed a habit of intertwining her life with baseball as she repeatedly experienced the ups and downs of countless seasons, praying for her team's victory. She expressed her gratitude to the LG Twins for the great gift.

This year, she reflected on the season with a more relaxed perspective. For her, baseball is a 'heart that remains unchanged as seasons change' and a faith that allows her to slow down life's pace. "Personally, this year felt like I was observing the expressions of all the teams. I received emotional compensation with the 2023 championship, which brought a sense of ease," she explained. "Setting aside the outcome of the games, the shouts of so many people pouring their passion into something felt consistently beautiful. It was a pleasure sharing this year with all baseball fans!"

Fans reacted enthusiastically to Shin So-yul's genuine passion for baseball, with comments like, "A true fan indeed," "Hopefully, you'll be the winning fairy for games you attend this year!" and "It's heartwarming to see your love for baseball."
