Actor Jang Dong-joo has drawn attention by deleting a controversial post that had previously caused concern.

The 'I'm sorry' message, posted on his Instagram on the 31st of last month and which had worried acquaintances and the public, is no longer visible as of the morning of the 3rd.

Previously, Jang Dong-joo's cryptic SNS post followed by a period of being unreachable caused quite a stir. Fortunately, his whereabouts were confirmed after about 4 hours. However, concerns lingered, making it difficult to dismiss the incident as a mere happening.

Just a day before posting the message, he had shared a bright update with a photo alongside fellow actor Lee Joo-an, captioned 'With Bok-se Gong-gil,' making the sudden shift in tone all the more shocking.

His agency, Nexus E&M, attempted to contact Jang Dong-joo but was unable to reach him, stating only, 'We are currently trying to confirm his whereabouts.' However, about 4 hours later, the agency officially stated, 'Fortunately, there was no bad situation. We have confirmed the actor's whereabouts.' Jang Dong-joo was confirmed to be safe later that afternoon and was not involved in any specific incident or accident, according to reports.

While Jang Dong-joo has not left any further traces on social media, he initially kept the controversial apology post up before eventually deleting it. Attention is now focused on whether he will provide further clarification later.

Meanwhile, Jang Dong-joo, born in 1994, debuted in the 2012 play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' He has since built a solid acting career with appearances in dramas such as 'School 2017,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'Class of Lies,' and the film 'Honest Candidate.' In 2021, he gained attention for a heartwarming story where he personally apprehended a hit-and-run drunk driver.

He recently appeared in the Netflix series 'Trigger' and has completed filming for his next project, 'What If I Become Human' (SBS, scheduled for broadcast in 2026).

Korean netizens expressed their concern, commenting, 'I was worried about what happened,' 'Seeing the post deleted, it seems resolved, but I'm still worried,' and 'I hope he uses social media more carefully in the future.'
