Actor Lee Kwang-soo shared his thoughts on acting alongside Do Kyung-soo in the drama 'The Beartown,' distinct from their usual variety show appearances.

At the production presentation for Disney+'s new original series 'The Beartown,' held on the 3rd at the Conrad Seoul Hotel, Lee Kwang-soo discussed his role.

Lee Kwang-soo plays Baek Do-kyung, a VIP with power and money, and confessed, "When I read the script and saw my character's part, I thought he might be the worst person, to the point where I wanted to spit on the script. I really disliked him."

He continued, "I wanted to convey and express well to the viewers the points that made me annoyed and angry every time I read the script."

Regarding his chemistry with Do Kyung-soo, whom he's known from various variety shows, Lee Kwang-soo said, "I'm very close with Kyung-soo, so I worried it might be awkward to act together on set, but meeting him on set was really great. I felt completely at ease and did everything I wanted to do."

He added, "Both Chang-wook and Kyung-soo accepted and liked whatever I did, so I felt comfortable, like I was just visiting the set, and I was able to do everything I prepared."

Do Kyung-soo also commented on their collaboration, joking, "Normally, he's very assertive and makes things difficult for the younger ones (laughs). But it's very different when we're working on a project. Hyung (Lee Kwang-soo) was a great source of support on set. I learned a lot from him, even without him expressing it directly, because I know he's good at what he does. I've learned a lot since 'It's Okay, That's Love.' I learned a lot from how he acts on set and how he treats people around him. We filmed while relying on each other a lot on set," he said with a laugh.

'The Beartown,' which features the intense confrontation between Ji Chang-wook, who races toward revenge, and Do Kyung-soo, showcasing a new side in his first villain role, along with the synergy of actors like Kim Jong-soo, Jo Yoon-soo, and Lee Kwang-soo, and the writing of 'Taxi Driver' series writer Oh Sang-ho, will release 4 episodes on Disney+ on the 5th, followed by two episodes each week, for a total of 12 episodes.

Korean netizens are expressing excitement over the drama. Comments include, "Lee Kwang-soo's character interpretation is amazing," "Already looking forward to the chemistry between Do Kyung-soo and Lee Kwang-soo," and "Lee Kwang-soo as a villain is so fresh! I'll definitely watch it live."
