Actress Go Joon-hee Unveils Chanel Bag Collection, Recounts 1.2 Million Won Purchase That's Now Worth Over 15 Million Won
Actress Go Joon-hee has captivated fans by revealing her extensive Chanel bag collection and sharing behind-the-scenes stories on her YouTube channel 'Go Joon-hee GO.'
In a video titled 'My 1.2 Million Won Chanel Story... I'm Revealing Everything,' Go Joon-hee explained that the video was planned to address articles claiming she owns 'countless Chanel bags' and to count them for herself.
She detailed the story behind her very first Chanel bag, which she received as a gift from her father to commemorate her coming of age.
Recalling the excitement of receiving her first luxury handbag from her father, she shared that after family discussions about prices, they decided to purchase it in Paris, where it was slightly cheaper than at duty-free shops, for 1.2 million won.
Expressing surprise that the same bag now costs over 15 million won, she clarified that she wasn't intentionally engaging in 'Chanel-tech' (investing in Chanel). Instead, bags purchased in her 20s for around 2 to 3 million won have appreciated significantly over time.
Go Joon-hee also shared a story about her financial habits in her 20s. She revealed that her parents managed her finances, allowing her to spend only 10% of her earnings. She explained that her ultimate goal was to own a Chanel bag, and she gradually saved up that 10% to purchase one every few years.
In addition to showcasing her bags, she recounted various experiences, including a bewildering encounter at customs upon returning from a shoot in India, where she was asked to present a receipt, and an impromptu purchase in Bangkok, Thailand, when she needed a larger bag for scripts.
Concluding her presentation, Go Joon-hee reiterated the purpose of the video: not to boast about her luxury items, but to honestly share her experiences and counter any exaggerated perceptions.
Netizens reacted with awe, commenting things like 'Go Joon-hee's class is forever,' 'How much is 1.2 million won now...?' and 'I'm getting vicarious satisfaction seeing this glamorous collection.'
