ILLIT Taps Global Producers for Music Spectrum Expansion with New Single 'NOT CUTE ANYMORE'
K-pop rookie group ILLIT is set to broaden their musical horizons by collaborating with acclaimed international producers.
The quintet, consisting of Yoonah, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, and Iroha, unveiled the track motion for their first single album, ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE,’ on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on the 3rd. The upcoming release will feature a total of two tracks: the title song of the same name and the B-side track ‘NOT ME.’
The title track ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE’ directly expresses the desire to move beyond simply being perceived as cute. The song boasts production by Jasper Harris, a global producer renowned for his work on Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits and Grammy-nominated tracks. His involvement is expected to highlight ILLIT’s diverse charms. Additionally, international singer-songwriters Sasha Alex Sloan and youra have contributed to the song, raising anticipation for the synergy they will create with ILLIT.
The B-side track ‘NOT ME’ confidently declares that no one can define oneself. This song was produced by Pebbles & TamTam, an American female producer duo known for the viral hit ‘Pink Like Suki’ on global short-form platforms like TikTok. Notably, ILLIT members Yoonah, Minju, and Mocha are credited as songwriters, promising a showcase of their growth and unique sensibility.
The track motion itself adds a stylish flair, utilizing collage designs from a collaboration with the British fashion brand ‘Ashley Williams.’ The new song titles are sequentially revealed on a sparkling LED screen, enhancing the visual appeal.
ILLIT's single album ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE’ tells the story of an honest ‘self’ who begins to feel the discrepancy between how the world sees them and how they see themselves. Following the track motion, concept photos for the new release will be unveiled sequentially on the 10th and 12th.
Prior to their comeback on November 24th, ILLIT will hold their concert ‘2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL ENCORE’ on November 8th and 9th at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, Seoul. The pre-sale for the concert sold out all dates on the first day, underscoring the group's immense popularity.
Fans are expressing excitement online, with comments like 'ILLIT's comeback is finally here!', 'Looking forward to the music with collaborations from famous international producers,' and 'Yoonah, Minju, and Mocha participating in songwriting makes it a must-have album already.'
