BOYNEXTDOOR Partners with 'Tom and Jerry' for 85th Anniversary Collaboration Track 'SAY CHEESE!'

K-pop sensation BOYNEXTDOOR is set to release a special collaboration song with the beloved animated characters 'Tom and Jerry' to celebrate the latter's 85th anniversary.

The group will unveil their digital single 'SAY CHEESE!' in Japan on the 10th. This new track beautifully captures the joyous friendship of inseparable best friends, much like the iconic duo of Tom and Jerry.

The song playfully likens the cat-and-mouse chase between Tom and Jerry, who are rivals yet perfect partners, to a game. Coupled with an exciting rock and roll sound, it promises a delightful listening experience.

'Tom and Jerry,' first aired in 1940, is a signature animation from Warner Bros., known for its humorous depiction of the endless chase between the cat, Tom, and the mouse, Jerry. The characters' charming chemistry has kept them popular for decades.

This collaboration underscores BOYNEXTDOOR's significant popularity in Japan. The group had previously hinted at this collaboration during the 'Tom and Jerry' 85th-anniversary event held at the Warner Bros. Japan office in February.

BOYNEXTDOOR has been highly active in Japan this year, releasing the Japanese version of their digital single 'TODAY (I LOVE YOU)' and their second single album 'BOYLIFE.' 'BOYLIFE' achieved Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan and topped both the weekly single ranking and the weekly combined single ranking on Oricon charts upon its release, selling approximately 346,000 copies in its first week.

Furthermore, their first solo tour, 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ IN JAPAN,' which spanned 13 shows across six Japanese cities, sold out all dates, demonstrating the strong support from their Japanese fanbase.

BOYNEXTDOOR will continue to energize the year-end scene by performing at 'COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26' at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo from December 27th to 31st. They are scheduled to deliver a powerful performance as 'masters of the stage' on the opening day of the festival, which is Japan's largest year-end music event, having kicked off in 2003 and featuring top artists each year.
