Lee Yi-kyung Departs 'How Do You Play?' After 3 Years, Latest in Series of Member Exits

Actor Lee Yi-kyung is stepping down from MBC's popular variety show 'How Do You Play?' after a three-year run.

The production team officially announced on the 4th, stating, "Lee Yi-kyung had many concerns about participating in the program due to his schedule, including overseas commitments, and recently expressed his intention to leave."

"We respect Lee Yi-kyung's opinion and, after discussion, have decided to support each other's paths," the team added. "We thank Lee Yi-kyung for his passion despite his busy schedule." Lee had been a fixed cast member since September 2022.

This departure follows the exits of fellow members Lee Mi-joo and Park Jin-joo in May, marking the third fixed cast member to leave the show within six months.

Recently, Lee Yi-kyung was embroiled in a private life controversy due to false information circulated online, which was later confirmed to be AI-generated. The individual who spread the misinformation apologized, admitting it was fabricated. Lee's agency had previously announced plans for strong legal action.
