Doh Kyung-soo, member of the group EXO and actor, has officially become a free agent (FA) after his exclusive contract with his former agency, Company SooSoo, expired.

Company SooSoo confirmed on April 4th to OSEN, "Actor Doh Kyung-soo's exclusive contract with our company has recently expired as he decided not to renew."

Doh Kyung-soo had established Company SooSoo with CEO Nam Kyung-soo, his former manager from SM Entertainment where he debuted with EXO. The agency had largely operated as a one-man label for him.

With his contract now terminated, Doh Kyung-soo is free to pursue solo music activities, continue his work with EXO, act, and appear on variety shows. He is reportedly in discussions with various agencies for a new contract.

Amidst this transition, reports surfaced claiming that Doh Kyung-soo requested to retain his 50% stake in Company SooSoo even after the contract's expiration. A representative from Company SooSoo acknowledged, "It is true that actor Doh Kyung-soo holds a 50% stake in our company. However, regarding whether he demanded to maintain this stake, we cannot confirm. We ask for your understanding."

Doh Kyung-soo is set to appear in the new Disney+ series 'The 8 Show,' premiering on May 5th, and has an encore solo concert scheduled for December.

Fans are expressing a mix of concern and anticipation. Comments include, "Is he leaving EXO activities too?", "Hope his relationship with his former manager remains okay," and "Looking forward to seeing his new ventures and hoping he continues with EXO."
