Entertainer Kang Yu-mi has shown her solidarity by sending a message of support and a monetary donation to YouTuber Kwak Hyeol-su, who bravely confessed to being a victim of sexual assault.
Recently, YouTuber Kwak Hyeol-su, who has 210,000 subscribers, uploaded a video titled 'It took a long time to say this' on his channel. In it, he revealed that he was sexually assaulted by a taxi driver a year ago.
He shared his pain and recovery process, stating, 'It was so hard to stand in front of the camera pretending to be cheerful.'
The video received an explosive response immediately after its release, surpassing 2 million views. The comment section was flooded with messages of support such as, 'I am also a victim but I didn't have the courage to speak,' and 'Your confession will change the lives of others.'
Among the many comments, comedian-turned-YouTuber Kang Yu-mi also left a personal message. She empathized with Kwak Hyeol-su's courage with a short but sincere sentence: 'Thank you for the courage to speak out.'
