Psychiatrist Oh Jin-seung Under Fire Again for Falsely Claiming Kinship

Psychiatrist Oh Jin-seung is once again embroiled in controversy for making baseless claims on television.

On the March 3rd episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 – You Are My Destiny,' fencing athlete Oh Sang-wook appeared as a special MC.

Oh Jin-seung, citing their shared surname, boldly asserted they were 'blood relatives.' He further speculated, "If you've lived in Daejeon for a long time, it's possible, as it's a concentrated village of the Oh clan in Chungcheong Province."

He even claimed, "Our eyebrows look alike," but Oh Sang-wook quickly countered, "I drew my eyebrows," distancing himself from the assertion.

Kim Gu-ra and other panelists attempted to defuse the situation with humor, suggesting, "Stop now," and "You might as well say you're related to Obama," and "Maybe you're related to Otani too."

Despite the reactions, Oh Jin-seung humorously insisted, "We really do look alike."

Previously, Oh Jin-seung faced backlash for falsely claiming Dr. Oh Eun-young was his aunt and actor Oh Jung-se was his cousin during an earlier broadcast.

His wife, Kim Do-yeon, had to clarify at the time, stating, "My husband's hobby is lying. He has no relation to Oh Eun-young or Oh Jung-se."

Viewers expressed mixed reactions, with some finding the repeated claims uncomfortable and unprofessional. Comments included, "Oh Jin-seung, doing it again?" and "He needs to stop exaggerating." Others suggested it was just for laughs, saying, "It's just a TV show, let's not take it too seriously."
