Actor Park Joong-hoon, who recently released his memoir 'Don't Regret It', touched upon the current condition of veteran actor Ahn Sung-ki, eliciting widespread concern.

During a press conference held on the afternoon of the 4th at the Jeongdong 1928 Art Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, Park was asked about informing Ahn Sung-ki of his book's release.

"Regarding senior Ahn Sung-ki, it's not something that can be hidden. His health is quite poor," Park shared with a heavy heart. He continued, "It's been over a year since I last saw him in person, and he's not in a condition to communicate directly via phone or text, so I've been checking in with his family for updates."

Park's voice wavered as he added, "Though I'm speaking calmly, it makes me deeply sad. He is someone I deeply respect as a mentor, filmmaker, and senior colleague, having worked together on four films over 40 years. It saddens me greatly that he may not be in a state to fully appreciate my book release."

'Don't Regret It', published on the 29th of last month, is a collection of essays where Park Joong-hoon reflects on his four-decade acting career and his life as a person.

Netizens expressed deep sympathy upon hearing about Ahn Sung-ki's health struggles. Comments included: "Their friendship was always so heartwarming, it's heartbreaking to hear this," and "I sincerely hope Ahn Sung-ki recovers his health as soon as possible."
