Shinhwa's Kim Dong-wan Shows Affection for Fans Ahead of Concert, Continues 'Principled Stance'

Shinhwa member Kim Dong-wan has once again demonstrated his 'principled stance' by expressing his heartfelt requests to fans ahead of his upcoming concert.

On the 4th, Kim Dong-wan shared a message for his fans via his social media account. He wrote, "I think I scheduled the performance and camp without considering the weather. Since it's a bit of a distance, please don't overexert yourselves to come," showing his considerate care for his fans' well-being.

He further added with his characteristic wit, "I just stopped a pregnant fan in the early stages of Shinhwa Changjo (fan club). I'm not the only one getting old, you guys!" bringing laughter to his followers. He then made a warm promise, "Next year, I'll fill the year with various types of performances. Let's meet again when it's warm, in the spring, my princesses."

Kim Dong-wan is set to hold his solo concert 'The Fourth Night Away' for a total of four performances from the 7th to the 21st. He had previously expressed his anticipation for reuniting with his fans, stating, "I'm looking forward to the day we can laugh, sing, and share memories together. Let's meet with familiar faces at the venue."

This follows his previous bold statement in September, also on social media, where he expressed his discomfort with variety show offers. He stated, "I wish the casting calls for variety shows would stop. I don't have confidence in being funny, and I don't want to reveal my true stories in front of the public." At the time, he voiced his burden with public exposure, saying, "Digging into the past only leaves scars on myself. Can't I just live quietly, pretending to be happy and successful?"

His remarks garnered attention, with comments of agreement from actresses Jang Ga-hyun and Seo Yuri. Some fans supported him, saying, "This means he's sincere about acting," and "He's cool as an actor with strong principles."
