Jeon Yeo-been Praises Co-star Jang Yoon-ju's Dedication on 'The Good Woman of the House'
Actress Jeon Yeo-been shared her experience working with model-turned-actress Jang Yoon-ju on the recently concluded Genie TV original series, 'The Good Woman of the House.'
'The Good Woman of the House' is a crime romance drama about a bodyguard who enters into a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman with only three months left to reset her life. Jeon Yeo-been played the role of 'Kim Young-ran,' a character from a disadvantaged background who believes money can solve anything.
Jeon Yeo-been, who had intense confrontations with Jang Yoon-ju, playing the villainous 'Ga Sun-young,' expressed her gratitude. "Senior Yoon-ju would call me a few days before filming important scenes and ask, 'Yeo-been, how are you preparing?' It was the first time a senior actor reached out to me like that," she said.
She continued, "We brainstormed together on how to best complete the scenes. Before filming crucial moments, we would talk for about an hour and a half to two hours. We didn't just discuss the filming itself but also our thoughts on acting and what it means to be an actor. It felt like people exploring the unseen world, and that process was enjoyable."
Jeon Yeo-been complimented Jang Yoon-ju's innate talent and overwhelming presence, likely stemming from her extensive modeling career. She noted, "Compared to her, I am shorter and have a smaller build, so I focused on conveying my emotions through my gaze."
