Comedians Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun have opened up about their cherished memories of the late Jeon Yu-seong, sharing heartfelt anecdotes about the beloved comedian.

In a YouTube video released on the 4th on the channel 'Shinyeoseong' (New Woman), Jo Hye-ryun revealed one of Jeon Yu-seong's peculiar drinking habits. She recalled, "He would drink soju by the glass. In just 8 minutes, he’d finish six glasses and say, 'Okay, I'm leaving,' and get up," even though the table only had pickled radishes so far.

Lee Kyung-sil echoed a similar story, adding, "When I asked him why he drank so fast, he’d say, 'If I'm drunk, I have to go. Don't you hate seeing people drunk?'" she remembered, recalling his humble demeanor.

The two also spoke about Jeon Yu-seong's deep affection for his juniors. Lee Kyung-sil shared, "He would call out of the blue. Feeling so sorry as a junior, he’d say, 'It's okay, I'm calling the ones I miss,' and his words were incredibly warm." Jo Hye-ryun added, "He was someone who always gave so much to his juniors. Comedian Kim Shin-young, who looked after Jeon Yu-seong until the end, must have seen a junior he slightly disliked. When Kim Shin-young told him, 'You should stop taking care of that person,' he simply said, 'He's a comedian too.'" This highlighted how much he cared for his juniors.

Jo Hye-ryun shared her last conversation with Jeon Yu-seong, saying, "When I met him before he passed, I told him, 'If you go first, I'll be there soon too, to listen to your comedy and make you laugh.'" She expressed a desire to convey the message of hope that "we will meet again someday."

The episode naturally transitioned from discussing Jeon Yu-seong to the universal theme of parting with loved ones and eventually facing one's own departure. Lee Kyung-sil mentioned comedian Kim Jung-ryeol dancing the 'Soongguri Dangdang' at Jeon Yu-seong's funeral and said, "At my funeral, please don't cry. I want it to be a happy occasion where we laugh together." Jo Hye-ryun playfully responded, "I'll do the Gollum and Anakana dances at your funeral."

Lee Kyung-sil stated she'd like her epitaph to read 'Thank you,' while Jo Hye-ryun quipped hers would say, 'I lived well, and if you don't live well, I won't let it slide.' They also spoke about their longing for their fathers, sharing personal stories that resonated with viewers.

Netizens fondly remembered Jeon Yu-seong's humor and his caring nature towards junior comedians, with comments like "He was truly a wonderful senior," "Listening to your stories brought tears to my eyes," and "We will always remember you."
