Singer and actor Doh Kyung-soo has announced a new chapter in his career, signing an exclusive contract with Blitsway Entertainment.

On May 5th, Blitsway Entertainment CEO Hong Min-gi stated, "We are delighted to partner with Doh Kyung-soo, a global artist beloved by K-pop fans worldwide and an actor recognized for his acting skills both domestically and internationally." He added, "Through our recently established music management system, we will provide comprehensive support not only for his acting endeavors but also for his group activities and solo albums."

Blitsway Entertainment significantly expanded its business scope in May of this year by acquiring music label KLAP. While primarily focused on actor management and video content production, the company has strengthened its foundation as a comprehensive entertainment enterprise by venturing into the K-pop business. This strategic move is expected to create synergy across all of Doh Kyung-soo's activities.

Doh Kyung-soo debuted in 2012 with EXO-K's first mini-album ‘MAMA,’ ushering in a new era for K-pop. As the main vocalist of the group EXO, he showcased his captivating vocal tone and stable live performances, establishing his presence as a vocalist with a sophisticated R&B-infused style. Through EXO's activities, he produced numerous hit songs such as ‘Growl,’ ‘LOVE ME RIGHT,’ and ‘Ko Ko Bop,’ and has been a representative of K-pop's global standing, winning the ‘MAMA Album of the Year’ award for five consecutive years.

In addition to his music career, Doh Kyung-soo has built an extensive acting filmography since his 2014 SBS drama ‘It's Okay, That's Love.’ He has demonstrated his delicate acting skills in various works, including the films ‘Swing Kids,’ the ‘Along with the Gods’ series, ‘My Annoying Brother,’ and ‘Cart,’ as well as the KBS2 drama ‘The Prosecutor Princess.’ Notably, his role in the tvN drama ‘100 Days My Prince’ perfectly portrayed a character with both cold intellect and innocence, breaking the previous viewership records for tvN Monday-Tuesday dramas. He is set to reveal a new side of himself in the upcoming Disney+ series ‘The Tyrant,’ released today (May 5th).

Doh Kyung-soo's charm also extends to variety shows. In the 2023 tvN show ‘A Kind of Family’ (tentative title: ‘Kong Sim-eun Dae Kong Nago Pat Sim-eun Dae Pat Nanda’), he garnered significant attention for his natural chemistry with close actor friends. Currently airing, he continues to showcase his capabilities in ‘A Kind of Family,’ displaying a calm and planned personality with a subtle sense of humor, earning him the title of 'maknae on top' among his peers.

Korean netizens expressed their excitement and support, commenting things like, "I hope Blitsway provides strong backing for both his music and acting," "Looking forward to seeing him shine in various fields," and "Wishing him the very best in his new agency."
