JTBC's 'Sing Again – Unknown Singers Season 4' (hereafter 'Sing Again 4') kicked off its Round 2 team battles, immediately captivating viewers with a surge of excitement.

The fourth episode, aired on the 4th, featured 40 contestants who advanced to the second round competing in teams, performing legendary songs representing different eras. The unexpected team combinations and high-quality performances generated immense buzz, delivering a 'dopamine-filled' viewing experience.

In Round 2's 'Team Battles,' the judging panel determined team compositions and matchups. Each team battled using iconic songs from the 1970s to the mid-2010s, as designated by the judges. Winning teams advanced collectively, while losing teams faced the risk of at least one member's elimination.

The 1970s era competition saw 'Mom's on Top' (Contestant #75, #40) reinterpreting Lee Jang-hee's 'That's You.' However, 'Dol Again' (Contestant #67, #17) secured an 'All Again' with their musical-style rendition of Lee Eun-ha's 'Night Train,' advancing to Round 3. Contestants #40 Jeon Hye-seon and #75 Bona were unfortunately eliminated.

For the 2000s era, '100KM' (Contestant #46, #52) performed Insooni's 'Father,' while 'Ni Gwi-e Candy' (Contestant #28, #76) sang As One's 'Want and Resent.' 'Ni Gwi-e Candy' emerged victorious with 5 'Agains,' while '100KM' received 3. Contestants #46 Lee Hu-jong and #52 Kang Seung-sik expressed their disappointment.

The anticipated matchup between 'Storm Warning' (Contestant #2, #73), known for their infectious energy, and 'Bird Alliance' (Contestant #51, #37), featuring an indie veteran and a rising talent, resulted in 'Bird Alliance' earning 5 'Agains' and moving to Round 3. 'Storm Warning' was eliminated with 3 'Agains.'

In the 90s 'Rock Battle,' 'Jwirakpyeorak' (Contestant #69, #77) and 'Urakburak' (Contestant #10, #42) faced off. 'Jwirakpyeorak' presented their rock version of Min Hae-kyung's 'Face I Miss,' while 'Urakburak' delivered Kim Don-gyu's 'My Own Sadness' with intense vocals. 'Jwirakpyeorak' achieved a full team advancement with 7 'Agains,' while only contestant #10 from 'Urakburak' received an additional pass.

The ultimate showdown, the 'All Again' battle, featured 'Little Big' (Contestant #59, #80) performing Park Jung-woon's 'If It's a Night Like Tonight' and 'Mentaegimbap' (Contestant #27, #50) singing Yoon Do-hyun's 'Tarzan.' After an intense competition, contestants #59, #27, and #80 secured additional advancement slots. Sadly, contestant #50, identified as singer Jadu, was eliminated.

'Sing Again 4' Episode 5 is scheduled to air on Tuesday, the 11th, at 10:30 PM.

Following the broadcast, viewers commented, 'The team battles made it much more intense and fun,' 'There were so many legendary performances, I rewatched them multiple times,' and 'The 2000s and All Again battles were particularly goosebump-inducing.' These reactions highlight the anticipation for the next round.
